For me it was like going in fast forward. Here are just a few things that went through my mind. "I'm not ready for prom!" "He's only a Sophomore!" "Whoa how much do I have to cough up for a tux and flowers?"
And then the reality of the prom hit. The mandatory meeting for students and parents complete with warnings and advisories that boil down to "Don't even try it. This is a lock-down, spot breathalyzer test, event."
A far different prom than we had back in the day, these kids board chartered buses and head to the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge. But before they do, the whole town, it seems, shows up at the high school to see them off. Each couple parades down the walk of fame. It's a Marblehead Red Carpet event.

Emma is great - a dancer who will be heading to Los Angeles and Loyola Marymount in the fall, she was beautiful and they both looked so fabulous. Thanks to John for loaning Dylan the coolest rock &roll tuxedo jacket EVER.
Enjoy the pictures!

Tory (second from the right) asked Jake (one of Dylan's best friends also a Sophomore, right) to the prom. The night before the prom Tory directed A Midsummer Night's Dream starring Dylan, Jake and many others. It was one of the best plays I've seen in Marblehead. Tory did an AMAZING job.

I said - "Hey Jake and Dylan - act like you're on the cover of GQ!" Hams!
Obligatory foot shot!
Obligatory shot by the water...
