Bob and Paul went to see the B-52s play at the new House of Blues in Boston last week. It was a last minute thing and when Bob heard about it he was out the door in a flash.
B-52s are one of my all time fav bands from the 80s. And they just keep on delivering distinct, infectious, new wave dance songs year after year. Bob said it was an amazing concert.
It got me thinking about how their music is part of the soundtrack of my life.
I'll never forget when we played Rock Lobster at our wedding. The dance floor filled with whirling, sweating, pogo-ing friends all of us singing the lyrics at the top of our voices...our families - all generations - watched in amazement and some joined in. They may not have known what it was, but they got the fun.
What's your favorite B-52s song?
Here are a few of mine.

It's got to be "Whip It", Whip it good! It makes me think of little Ms. Bonnie, the princess whippet, every time.
80's fail! that was Devo, not B-52s. But I'll forgive you because I know you weren't a punk/new wave chick like me ;-)
Oops! Devo, B52s, they were all the same anyway.
