Da Fish

Thursday night Dave caught a mammoth 28 pound Striper that, turns out, is just about as big as Drew.

He caught it from his kayak. It pulled him and the kayak around for 15 minutes until he hauled it in - a striper version of a Nantucket sleigh ride. Dave invited Drew along to gut and clean the fish. Wow! I can tell you, Drew will never forget it.

Dave doesn't just fish once in a while. He fishes all the time. He catches fish on flies and jigs he makes by hand. He carves fish. He paints them and draws them. He designs fishy logos and t-shirts like the one in these pictures. He catches fish from his wooden dory, his motor boat, his kayak.

He's the fish-whisperer.

And this week he's one happy fisherman.
