Me and Drew will tell you - it's our favorite beach. You can walk out far and it's not above your head. There are rocks to climb. There are shallows and tide pools to explore. The sand is fine and light, not rocky and gravelly like so many other beaches on the North Shore.
This year we brought a new friend, Andy. He's the son of my good friend Beth.
Drew and Andy had a ball together, running themselves ragged on a day that was quintessentially summer, while I lay on my blanket and read Harry Potter. A great day.
Drew is truly loving being an only child!
